New facility expansions at La Triveneta Cavi S.p.A.
Posted in   on Company news, Featured, news lato slider (EN)

During 2020, despite the difficulties due to CoViD-19, La Triveneta Cavi S.p.A. chose to make important investments in order to expand its production facilities. A first construction site was opened at the plant in Via Orna 35 in Brendola, where a new production unit of 2.700 square meters was built in a neighboring area already acquired at the end of 2019. Here 3 new cable extrusion lines and 4 packaging plants have been installed.

A second expansion concerned Veneta Trafili, the company’s own wire-drawing plant located in Montecchio Maggiore, where a 4.300 square meter building was built and 3 new copper drawing lines were installed.

As a result of these substantial investments, since July 2020 La Triveneta Cavi S.p.A. has hired 40 new employees with the ambitious goal, for the year 2021, to increase the production volumes by about 10% in order to reach the target of 125.000 tons of cable produced.

These considerable investments will allow La Triveneta Cavi S.p.A., already the first Italian producer and the fourth in Europe, to increase its impact on the market of electric cables in which it has been a reference point for over 55 years.

This document, addressed to project designers and installers, is an update of the complete guide to the Construction Products Regulation applied to Electric Cables and explains, among other things:

– the legislative scenario;

– the economic operators in the supply chain;

– the requirements imposed by the CPR regulation;

La Triveneta Cavi and AICE

AICE, which La Triveneta Cavi has always been linked to, is an association of FEDERATION ANIE (National Federation of Electrotechnical and Electronic Companies), which in turn is part of Confindustria, and represents companies active in the energy cables and accessories, communication cables and electrical winding conductors sectors.

AICE member companies are 39 (for a total of 7,000 employees) and in 2019 they had a turnover of about 3,000 million Euros.

AICE guarantees its members a continuous update on the evolution of the European Directives in force and under development (LVD – Low Voltage Directive; EMC – Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive; CPR – Construction Products Regulation; etc.).

In particular, with reference to the CPR Regulation, AICE member companies have focused their investments on research and development of safe and reliable products to be used in applications where the health of people and the protection of things must be guaranteed in case of fire.

Webinar CPR Electric Cables
Posted in   on Company news, Featured, news lato slider (EN)

Last November 18th, our technicians Giorgio Massignan and Gianluca Migliorelli held a technical seminar from the meeting room of our headquarters in Brendola which was attended by 40 operators selected by our partner Sonepar Italia. The webinar covered the CPR regulation with its latest updates, and the news on low and medium voltage electric cables certified by La Triveneta Cavi. We also focused on the importance of the IMQ EFP voluntary brand which has always been considered a plus by our company. For this reason our R&D departments are every day in the forefront for the realization of cables that meet all legal requirements; in the last three years alone more than 100 types of CPR branded cables have been created. Waiting to resume the live seminars, always appreciated in the past years by our customers, La Triveneta Cavi is available to carry out technical training with its strategic partners.
